Shemaroo Releases UTV World Movies Titles on DVD news
Indian world cinema channel, UTV World Movies has signed up with Shemaroo World Cinema, for releasing its library titles in the Indian home video market. Through this strategic association, UTV World Movies takes another step towards making contemporary, award winning World Cinema available across several platforms. Shemaroo World Cinema launched 5 UTV World Movies titles on Home Video recently at Cinemax, Versova in Mumbai.
Shemaroo launched the first five UTV World Movies award winning, blockbuster titles namely House of Flying Daggers; A Tale of Two Sisters, A Room with a View, La Zona and The Phantom Lover.
The world cinema category is a sub-brand, under the umbrella brand of Shemaroo Entertainment. Shemaroo World Cinema has a collection of award winning titles of several renowned film makers like Jean-Luc Godard, Akira Kurosawa, Pedro Almodóvar, Roman Polanski, and Claude Chabrol among many others.
UTV World Movies has a library of over 600 critically acclaimed, award winning and contemporary blockbuster titles from more than 40 countries spread across languages and genres comprising Oscar winning and nominated titles such as ‘˜The Lives of Others', ‘˜Divided We Fall', & ‘˜The Counterfeiters'; Oscar nominated and other award winning films like ‘˜Waltz With Bashir', ‘˜Machuca' and ‘˜Your Name Is Justine'.

All the UTV World Movies titles will be in the respective original language, on Shemaroo World Cinema DVDs, with English subtitles at an MRP of Rs. 349/ - each.
