No Reservations: Disappointing!! review
It's two hours of film reel wasted on the weakest script to come out of the other side of the globe, writes Faye D'Souza
I can easily see this movie being re-made into a bollywood flick in less than a year. It has every thing‘¦.. the tears, the laughter, the charming hero who comes to the rescue of the stiff-but-beautiful-female lead who doesn’t know how to have any fun. Really the only element missing was SRK standing in front of NYC with arms out stretched and the wind blowing in his hair!
But coming back to the movie (I always get a little distracted with the opportunity to SRK bash), if you haven’t seen it yet, and chances are you haven’t where there is so much else to choose from right now, don’t! Wait till a day when you really, really have nothing else to do with your time.
It's two hours of film reel wasted on the weakest script to come out of the other side of the globe. The characters are predictable, the script is slack and the scenes are really incomplete in some places. Even the jokes aren’t funny!!
Catherine Zeta Jones’ character is uni-dimensional as is her leading man. You can easily predict his dialogue in every scene ‘¦‘¦. Remember the one where he gets the little girl to eat pasta! And really the use of the conversations with the creepy therapist as the narrative that fills in all the gaps ‘¦.. was dull!
The only thing that will keep you interested is the curiosity about the food that’s being cooked and the fact that you still have half a bag of pop-corn to finish.
I was disappointed! It didn’t even have the basic stuff that American- sweetheart-romantic-comedies normally have .... that noramlly leave you feeling warm and happy for the lovers in the end.
I'm longing for a nice romantic comedy to watch..... dont want to have to watch pretty woman again!!

It's a complete waste, especially when
It's a complete waste, especially when you put it against the German original. All the nuances probably got lost in translation! Still didn't regret watching it for Catherine Zeta Jones, gorgeous as usual:)
