Screening schedule of Indian films at Cannes: “Ugly” premieres today

Ugly posterAnurag Kashyap’s Ugly will have its world premiere today afternoon at Theatre Croisette JW Marriot in Cannes. The film is scheduled to have five screenings in Cannes.

Ritesh Batra’s Dabba (Lunchbox) will have the maximum numbers of screenings. Between May 19-23, the film will have seven shows.

Tomorrow will be a big day for India. Amit Kumar’s Monsoon Shootout will have a midnight screening at the Grand Theatre Lumiere in the Palais. Satyajit Ray’s Charulata will screen in Cannes classics on May 18th.

Bombay Talkies will be screened on May 19. The screening will be followed by the official dinner to celebrate the 100 years of Indian cinema hosted by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Festival de Cannes.

Monsoon Shootout is the only Indian film that will be screened in the Grand Theatre Lumiere, the main auditorium of the festival where competition films are screened. The film will have three more screenings at the festival.
