NDTV Lumière to Screen Cannes Award Winners news

Homegrown world cinema distributor NDTV Lumière has announced to screen seven Cannes award winners from previous editions in a special series titled ‘˜Experience Cannes'.

The ‘˜Experience Cannes ‘˜film festival will be held at PVR Cinemas in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore from 8-14^th May with a different movie to be screened every day at 1 pm.

Some of the  films to be showcased at the festival include, ‘˜The Class' -winner of the Palme d'Or at the 2008 Festival de Cannes,  Nuri Bilge Ceylan's ‘˜Three Monkeys' which won him the Best Director Award at the 2008 Fesival de Cannes and ‘˜Persepolis'- winner  of the Jury Prize at the 2007 edition. The other cinematic gems to be screened are Tulpan, Days of Glory, Silent Light, Mourning Forest and The Edge of Heaven. 

In an NDTV Lumière press release, director  Sunil Doshi, has been quoted saying "We at NDTV Lumière wish to bring a near simultaneous experience of being in Cannes and expose cinema lovers in India to films from the masters of contemporary and emerging cinema from Europe"
