French Film Festival in Delhi news
Featuring 4 award-winning movies directed by Krzysztof Kieslowski, the Oscar-nominated Polish film director and screenwriter
World Movies, India's only international movie channel by UTV Network, presents an extraordinary French movie festival in association with The French Embassy and Alliance Francaise de Delhi. Krzysztof Kieslowski's prized collection - Three Colours: Blue, Three Colours: White and Three Colours: Red - and an award-winning film, A Short Film About Love will be screened at Alliance Francaise de Delhi on 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th of July respectively.
Celebrating Bastille Day (French National Day) on the 14th of July, World Movies will showcase Kieslowski's famous Three Colours trilogy that also represents the three colours on the French Flag. The trilogy will be aired from 7pm onwards.
The Three Colours trilogy is Kieslowski's best-known work. Three Colours: Blue shared the Golden Lion at Venice in 1993; Three Colours: White earned Mr. Kieslowski the best director prize in Berlin, 1994; and Three Colours: Red brought him an Academy Award nomination for best director in 1995. A Short Film About Love won the Outstanding Achievement in Foreign Film Award.
