Are Film reviews like toothpastes… Certain brands suit certain audience?

Who has a universa appeal: Ritwik Ghatak or Karan Johar?

Should a reviewer stick to the positive and negative points of a movie while reviewing? Should a review strictly focus on the one and the only film that’s being reviewed?

Is there an ‘ideal’ review or ‘ideal’ criticism?

Is film criticism dead in India?

Does a “critic” require an understanding of film history and cinema as a medium to write a review?
