There are many sub-genres to it such as classic westerns, spaghetti westerns and others. In our endeavor to bring to our viewers some of the best movies from around the world, we come with all guns blazing this July with Wednesday Westerns."
Wednesday Westerns showcases:
Django (Italian) - A coffin-dragging gunslinger enters a town caught between two feuding factions, the KKK and a gang of Mexican Bandits, and is caught up in a struggle against them.
This film spawned hundreds of unofficial sequels. Some were incorrectly titled Django, and were only titled so to cash in on the original. The film was so popular in Germany that almost every Franco Nero western there bears the Django name.
Django Kill (Italian)a.k.a Se sei vivo spara - Various factions including a Mexican Bandit, a gang of Homosexual Cowboys and a Priest feud over stolen gold in a surreal town.
According to the actors and director, producers decided to release the movie in countries outside Italy as, "Django, Kill!" as a way to take advantage of the success of a prior release, Django (1966) starring Franco Nero. In reality, "Django" had nothing to do with "Django Kill".
Texas Adios (Italy) - The tough gun-man Burt Sullivan (Franco Nero) leaves his job as a town sheriff to go to Mexico to find the man, Cisco, who killed his father many years ago.
Tears Of The Black Tiger (Thai) a.k.a Fah talai jone - A Thai cult film, as much a parody as an homage to the Western and the romantic tearjerker. In the countryside of Thailand, a gang of outlaws makes the region unsafe. Among them is the handsome gun hero Dum, who became unwillingly involved in the bandit life.
Blindman (Italy) - Blindman, Blindman, what did he do? Stole 50 women that belong to you! A blind sharpshooter (Tony Anthony) with a guide horse clashes with bandits who want to steal his shipment of mail-order brides
