11th Osian's Cinefan Annouces Lineup
The 11th edition of Osian’s Cinefan Film Festival will open in New Delhi on October 24 with a Romanian entry, “Hooked”. Directed by Adrian Sitaru, the movie is his first feature that has also been scripted by him, and was screened at Toronto and Palm Springs. “Hooked” tells crisply in 84 minutes the terse story of a couple whose car runs over a prostitute on a forest highway near Bucharest. Narrated over a single day, the film examines the relationship of the two lovers as they grapple with the unexpected tragedy.
'Imaging Asia’ film festival in New Delhi from August 18-22
The 'Imaging Asia' Festival organized by NETPAC – CII will be held in New Delhi from 18 - 22 August 2010. Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) India and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) are organizing this five-day International Conference and a series of cinema-related events in New Delhi to broaden the scope and vision of Asian Cinema.
Yash Chopra to inaugurate MIFF
The 11th Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary, Short and Animation Films (MIFF 2010) begins on the 3rd of February. Veteran film maker and Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner Mr.Yash Chopra will be the Chief Guest of the Opening Ceremony which will be presided over by Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting Ms.Ambika Soni.

Gabhricha Paus competes in the Asian Cinema section of Fajr International Film festival
The Damned Rain (Gabhricha Paus) directed by Satish Manwar is competing in the Asian Cinema section of the 28th Fajr International Film festival. 11 films from eight Asian countries along with two films from Iran have been included in the competition section. The festival will be held from January 25 to February 4 in Tehran - Iran.
2010 Sundance Festival Announces Jury Members
The 2010 Sundance Film Festival announced today the members of five juries awarding prizes at the Festival, which runs January 21-31, 2010 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The juries collectively are comprised of individuals from the global arts community, each of whom brings unique perspective and range of experience.
