Sita Sings the Blues, it was announced does not accede to advances made by all and every film festival. It even turned down overtures made by MIFF. At festivals where it does make an appearance, the royalty charged is $ 300-400.
7 Islands International Film Festival to be held from Jan 26-30
The fifth edition of the 7 Islands International Film Festival will be held from January 26-30, 2010 in Mumbai. This festival promotes itself as a festival with a mission. It intends to expose the Indian youth to film that brings new ideas, methodology, solutions and experimentation for social change through non violence and global disarmament.
