Call for Entry: 8th International Student Film Camp in Serbia

Interaction8th International Student Film Camp “Interaction 2013” is calling for entries. Organized by the Independent Film Centre “Filmart”, the programme will be held from August 14 – 31, 2013 in Pozega, Serbia. The last date for submission is April 15, 2013.

Students who have studied film production, directing, cinematography, sound design or editing are only eligible to apply. The applicants should have participated in the making of at least one documentary and should be fluent in English. A duly filled application form with a YouTube or Vimeo link of the film (translated into English) made should be submitted. The film should have been made during the studies. The organizers will bear the costs of boarding and lodging, equipment and materials for film production and traveling from Belgrade to Pozega to Belgrade. The participants will need to pay for the visa, traveling to Belgrade and back from there, and for international health insurance.

The programme will select 20 students from the fields of production, directing, cinematography, sound design and editing from all over the world. The participants will be divided into four groups, each group will make a documentary on the theme of ‘Deeds, not Words!’ The programme is divided in two stages. Under the first stage the four groups will visit four different cities in Serbia and identify their topic and shoot for the documentary. In stage two, participants will complete the rest of the production work. Workshops and consultations with supervisors will be a part of the programme.

Started in 2005, Independent Film Centre “Filmart” is an independent art association organizing the three week programme since 2006.
