Call for entry: 12th Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary, Short and Animation

12th Mumbai International Film festival for Documentary, Short and Animation films is open for entries.

The festival offers cash awards and incentives worth US $ 143, 000.

MIFF 2012 will be held from February 3-9, 2012 at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai.

The festival has separate sections for International and National competition. Films made in India and abroad between September 1, 2009 and August 31, 2011 will be eligible for the International competition. Only films made in India by Indian citizens between September 1, 2009 and August 31, 2011 will be eligible for National Competition. Same film cannot be entered in both the sections.

There is an entry fee of Rs. 1000 for filmmakers in India and US $ 50 for entries from abroad.

The first ever Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary, Short and Animation Films was held in the year 1990. The biennial festival is conducted with the collaboration of Government of Maharashtra and the Indian Documentary Producer’s Association.
