1st Imphal International Short Film Festival in October, entries invited

The first Imphal International Short Film Festival will be held through October 9-13, 2011 in Manipur. The festival is inviting entries from short filmmakers. The deadline for registration is August 31st, 2011.

Around 100 short films from India and abroad will be screened in the festival, which is being organized by Legend Studio with the support of Film Forum, Manipur and Action for Social Advancement (ASA), Manipur.

Awards will be given in the following categories: Best Short Film, Best Direction, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Musical Score and Three Special Mentions.

A short film produced between September 2009- August 2011, upto 30 minutes long can be sent to the festival. There is an entry fee of 1000/- for Indian category and US $ 50 for International category.
