Short Film Center to take place at IFFI, deadline is Oct 28

After much speculation, the word is finally out that the International Film Festival of India, Goa will see the Short Film Center (SFC) happening alongside. The official call for entries for the Short Film Center will be out shortly, as confirmed by the organizer of SFC, the Entertainment Society of Goa.

The last date for submitting entries is October 28, 2011. The length of the short film can be between 3-60 minutes.

The films can be submitted online on www.withoutabox.com.

All films entered at Short Film Center will be automatically registered at the Short Film Market.

The Short Film Center was created as a business platform at the International Film Festival of India, Goa for short film makers, buyers, festival organizers and funding agencies. There was uncertainty about the 2011 edition of the Short Film Center as it was reported that the state government of Goa had bowed to pressure from the Federation of the Film Fraternity of Goa that didn’t want the Short Film Center to happen.
