Major distributors around the world have acquired the rights for Reliance Big Pictures Kites directed by Anurag Basu and starring Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori.

IM Global has sold Kites to Optimum for the UK, Rapid Eye for Germany and Austria, Svensk for Scandinavia and StudioCanal for France, Icon (Australia/NZ), Pathe (Benelux), Impulse (Switzerland), MediaPro (Eastern Europe), Cinemax (CIS), Swen (Latin America), Forum (Israel) and Nu Metro (South Africa), City Entertainers for Hong Kong, Philippines, and Thailand; Studio Solutions Group for Taiwan; PT Amero for Indonesia, and Antenna Entertainment for Malaysia and Singapore; as reported by Screen International.

All the distributors have acquired both versions of the film: Kites The Remix, edited by Brett Ratner, and the original Hindi version.

Reliance Big Entertainment had taken a majority stake in IM Global early this month.  IM Global is a major international sales and distribution company founded in March 2007 by Stuart Ford.
