Dev Benegal s project Samurai Selected for HAF

The 8th edition of Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) has announced the lineup of projects for the year 2010.  Indian director Dev Benegal s film Samurai , a US-India co-production with Ross Katz has been selected. Twenty five projects of upcoming filmmakers of Asia have been picked by HAF out of which more than half have already secured their funding.

Dev s latest film Road, Movie had been premiered at Toronto last year and had participated in many international film festivals. It will be showcased under Generation 14 plus section of Berlinale this year.

HAF is Asia’s premier project market designed to connect Asian filmmakers with upcoming film projects with internationally prominent film financiers, producers, bankers, distributors, buyers, and funders for co-production ventures. The form will be held from 22-24 March this year.
