Anhey Ghore Da Daan selected for Bright Future section in Rotterdam

Anhey Ghore Da DaanGurvindar Singh’s debut film Anhey Ghorey Da Daan (Alms of the Blind Horse) will be screened in the Bright Future section at International Film Festival Rotterdam 2012. This section of the festival presents important debut or second feature films of directors.

Anhey Ghore Da Daan is produced by the National Film Development Corporation of India.

The film recently won the Special Jury Mention at the 5th Abu Dhabi Film Festival 2011. A Punjabi Language film, Anhey Ghorey Da Daan tries to evoke the effect of years of subordination of the socially repressed and exploited classes.

The International Film Festival Rotterdam will be held from January 25 – February 5, 2012.
