AR Rahman wins two Oscar nominations for 127 Hours

The nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards are out. AR Rahman won two nominations for Music (Original Score) and Music (Original Song) in Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours. The King’s Speech topped the chart with 12 nominations, including Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Original Screenplay and Best Actor.

Best Director:

Black Swan, Darren Aronofsky

The Fighter, David O. Russell

The King’s Speech, Tom Hooper

The Social Network, David Fincher

True Grit, Joel Coen and Ethan Coen

Best motion picture of the year:

Black Swan

The Fighter

Inception

The Kids Are All Right

The King’s Speech

127 Hours

The Social Network

 True Grit

Winter’s Bone

Best foreign language film of the year:

Biutiful, Mexico

Dogtooth, Greece

In a Better World, Denmark
