Application deadline for ‘Performance and Documentary’ course at JBMRC, Jamia extended
The last date of application for the course on ‘Performance and Documentary’ has been extended to the 15th of March. This Special Course on ‘Performance and Documentary’ will be conducted at the James Beveridge Media Resource Centre at AJK Mass Communication Research Centre in Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. The course will be conducted from April 5-8 and April 12-15. Applications have been invited from MA/M.Phil/Ph.D students as well as teachers, scholars and media practitioners with at least 5 years of professional experience.

James Cameron in India to speak on The Future of Cinema
Filmmaker James Cameron will deliver a keynote address on the The Future of Cinema at the India Today Conclave 2010 which is being held in New Delhi on March 12-13. He will be discussing The Future of Cinema with Aamir Khan in a session which will be chaired by Aroon Purie, Chairman of the India Today group.

Mira Nair and Deepa Mehta among most influential South Asian Women Executives
Film makers Deepa Mehta and Mira Nair, and Indian television giant Ekta Kapoor have been listed as most influential South Asian Women Executives in the Media and Entertainment industry. A list of twenty two women who have excelled in media and entertainment has been announced by Korn/Ferry International in consultation with IFFLA. These women will be honoured during the 8th Annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) that will be held from April 20-25.

Tribeca announces 2010 lineup
Tribeca International Film Festival announced the first 34 feature films of the 2010 festival slate. “This year’s competition, the core of the Festival, represents contemporary international filmmaking at its finest, bringing together fresh voices with established storytellers. These stories will leave audiences engaged, as well as entertained, which is what our Festival is all about,” said David Kwok, Director of Programming for the Tribeca Film Festival.
